Practice question from chapter text
Why do LEDs emit different colours and need a current-limiting element?
LED کے رنگ مختلف اور رو محدود کرنے والا جزو کیوں ضروری ہے؟
Solution & explanation
Semiconductor band gap largely sets emitted photon energy and hence colour. Current rises steeply with forward voltage, so a resistor or controlled driver keeps it within limits. Brightness depends on current and device efficiency, not a safe assumption of arbitrary higher supply voltage.
