Practice question from chapter text
How can massless photons push a solar sail?
بے سکون کمیت فوٹون شمسی بادبان کو کیسے دھکیلتے ہیں؟
Solution & explanation
Photons carry energy and momentum despite zero rest mass. Absorption or reflection transfers momentum to a sail and produces radiation pressure. Reflection can transfer more momentum than absorption for the same incident beam geometry. Sunlight supplies energy; no onboard propellant does not mean no external energy source.
