Question based on a textbook side note
Is the printed claim that AC is always more dangerous than DC sufficient?
کیا AC کو ہمیشہ DC سے زیادہ خطرناک کہنا کافی درست ہے؟
Solution & explanation
No. Shock risk depends on current through the body, path, duration, frequency and conditions. Mains-frequency AC has particular physiological risks, but DC can also cause severe injury and burns. Conventional current direction is positive-to-negative externally for both fixed-polarity DC and each AC instant; electron drift is opposite.
