Speaking and extended writing

Today a visitor arrived with three questions. I was digging, and he noticed my tiredness before thinking only of his answers. He took the spade and helped. Later, he cared for a wounded stranger through the evening. By morning, an enemy had become a friend. I explained that his actions had answered his questions: attend to the present person and do good now. I hope he carries that understanding into his rule.
